About Harold Moore

After about 10 years managing efforts for causes, candidates and campaigns Harold Moore realized that he’d gotten pretty good at working on tight deadlines with limited resources to win elections, pass legislation and support community efforts. He’d been part of wave elections like Pat Dowell for Alderman (Chicago), Brad Ellsworth for Congress (IN-08) and the 2008 election of Barack Obama, helped organizations like the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and Emily’s List raise millions of dollars, and helped startups branch out into the advocacy space. Through these experiences Harold built and administered databases in Excel, SQL, VAN and more and learned to use tools to blend data and story to paint a more complete picture of how we change the world.

Some highlights of that work include time working with:

  • Blue State Digital, as an account manager for their SaaS, the Tools. There he offered white glove service to the Democratic National Committee, the Special Olympics and Airbnb, creating new digital solutions for their marketing and outreach needs

  • Color of Change, where as Deputy Data Director for the civil rights organization, he led randomized experiments on the efficiency of using SMS to encourage voter turnout

  • The AFL-CIO, where as Member Communication Coordinator he led a $4.5 million dollar multi channel (mail, digital, door and phone) communication program

These days Harold works as a consultant, trainer and organizer helping groups like Seventh Generation, the American Heart Association and the Sierra Club use a data driven framework to make the most efficient use of their resources and scale their work for social good. His specialties include integrations across on and offline channels, training and data collection. He is proficient using Google Analytics(and SEO) and GSuite, Tableau, SQL, Salesforce and much much more.

Additionally in an effort to ensure that everyone who is committed to making it a better world has access to skills and tools he has served as a trainer or coach for Camp Wellstone, LISC Chicago, and the Congressional Black Caucus and as a board member of the Mikva Challenge and Web of Change.
